We offer a wide range of affordable energy efficient air conditioning systems designed for the home. Whether air conditioning a bedroom, study, conservatory or several rooms off one outdoor unit, we can design and install solutions to meet your everyday needs.

Air conditioning is fast becoming the preferred choice in providing a temperature controlled environment within the home. With the wide choice of systems now available combined with the energy savings and affordability, it is fast becoming more popular for home owners.

From Our Website

D&E Technical Services have been successfully trading since1990. Based in St. Neots Cambridgeshire we specialise in design and installation of air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems. We provide services for a wide range of industries, environments & applications within the commercial, industrial and domestic sectors. Whether this be installing a small wall mounted unit for the home to installing a VRF system serving a multi-storey building, no job is too small. We predominately serve the following areas but have also undertaken projects further afield throughout the UK.

We offer bespoke preventative service & maintenance packages to suit all types of businesses and applications ensuring your systems are maintained and operate at their optimum level all year round. System failure and mechanical breakdown can be significantly reduced if servicing is carried out. If ignored it can often lead to site callouts and replacement parts which can become costly. The systems we install are extremely reliable and carefully selected from leading manufacturers'. However because they're mechanical, breakdowns can occur from time to time as like with a car.

Towards the end of 2011 we were awarded the contract to design, install and commission a number of air conditioning and ventilation systems into a 6-storey office building located in the centre of Norwich. The installation featured 17 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries VRF Inverter heat pumps serving 143 cassette units installed throughout each floor each measuring approximately 1185m2. We were also responsible for the design and installation of 27 heat recovery ventilation units. The project was commissioned and successful completed on time and within budget.

As well as air conditioning we also design, install, service and maintain a wide range of applications where refrigeration is commonly used. These include food storage, wine and beer cellars, chiller display units, refrigerated cabinets, custom built walk-in cold rooms, storage warehouses, fast food chains, restaurants, convenient stores and super markets. Maintaining low tempertures is vital for certain products such as food and drink storage. We are able to design and install equipment to meet your exact requirements taking into account refrigeration load, condenser unit selection, indoor unit cooler model, compressor specification and pipe sizing.

We provide site callouts for air conditioning and refrigeration covering a wide range of industry sectors and applications from server rooms to coldstores and commercial fridge systems. From receiving the initial call we aim to have an engineer on site within 24 - 48 hours depending on the site location and our current workload. In some instances we can attend site the same working day should our engineers be working local to that particular site. Some businesses request a callout within 24 hours for systems serving critical areas such as server rooms.

With the concern over the environment ever present the EC Directive made it a regulation to put an energy rating on all air conditioning products. Energy labelling is part of a wider European Climate Change program that targets energy efficiency as one method of reducing CO2 emissions in order to meet the targets of the Kyoto protocol. The majority of air conditioning systems we install are now 'A/A' rated for both cooling and heating which offers the end-user low energy consumption products. This goes a long way towards reducing annual energy bills when compared to more conventional heating methods.

Being able to control a set temperature within server rooms is crucial to businesses of all sizes. Servers are the central hub of a companies processes and operations. If these systems are compromised it can have disastrous consequences for both the organisation itself and their external customers. It is therefore essential to have air conditioning installed. Within a confined space such as a server room, heat generated from the equipment can quickly increase room temperatures and hot spots can develop behind server racks without sufficient air movement within the room.

The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme is a key part of the Governments' programme to manage climate change. The scheme is designed to encourage businesses to invest in energy-saving eco-friendly equipment through tax saving incentives offered to businesses that invest in equipment that meets certain energy-saving criteria. What is ECA? ECAs enable businesses to claim 100% first-year capital allowances on their spending on purchased energy-saving plant and machinery. Providing the equipment is listed on the Energy Technology list then the total installed value of the systems can be written off against taxable profits during the year in which the purchase is made.
